Our Story
Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham is a vibrant historical town. The Montpellier area is renowned for its continental atmosphere, full of boutique shops, cafés and bars.
The Montpellier Wine Bar & Restaurant was established in 1977 and remains the place to be seen in Cheltenham – one of the area's only non-smoking establishments, perfect for a relaxed lunch, afternoon tea, dinner with friends or a really 'jumping' night out.
Pavement tables and chairs are available for al fresco dining, and our relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere has made the Wine Bar the heart of the Montpellier social scene.
Our corner of the street is as well known for its boutiques as it is for the bar itself, and table talk in Montpellier often drifts to the watches in those windows.
